can't afford MS Office.....
Microsoft Office is one of the premier software bundles for productivity, but it is expensive. There is a FREE alternative that offers pretty much the same thing. OpenOffice is a software suite that offers the following - Writer, a full function word processor or desktop publisher; Calc, a spreadsheet that is as simple or complex as you need; Impress, for you to create small or elaborate presentations; Draw, to create your own drawings or manipulate existing objects; and Base, for database manipulation, queries, and reports. What makes it truly wonderful is that you can save your work in any of the MS Office formats so friends, business associates, teachers, or anyone else can open them with their copy of MS Office.
